We are committed to ensuring that all members of our community feel safe, respected, and valued.
Our hate crime policy outlines our approach to tackling hate incidents and hate crimes. It defines them and sets out procedures for reporting, investigating, and supporting victims.
We recognise incidents based on prejudice, hostility, and discrimination harm individuals and communities. We aim to prevent and address such behaviours in a fair, timely, and supportive manner.
This survey is based on extracts from the draft policy so you don’t need to read the whole policy first. If you would like to read it in full it is available below.
For each question please read the text and then answer the question or give your comments.
It will take about 10 minutes to complete.
More information on the council's approach can be found on our anti-social behaviour page.
